A Day To Remember Releases "Make It Make Sense" From New Album "A Day To Remember's Big Ole Album Vol. 1"
A Day To Remember, the American rock band from Ocala, Florida, has once again made waves in the music scene with the release of their latest single "Make It Make Sense" on February 18, 2025. This track is part of their surprise album drop, "A Day To Remember's Big Ole Album Vol. 1," which was initially released as a physical-first offering, available on vinyl and CD before hitting digital platforms on March 21, 2025.
"Make It Make Sense" showcases the band's signature blend of metalcore and pop-punk, a style they've been known for since their formation in 2003. The song opens the new album with an "unbridled blast of aggression and energy," featuring a powerful riff and an old-school hardcore breakdown that underpins Jeremy McKinnon's guttural screams. The track culminates in a crushing chant, "Glass half full, but it's never enough. Make it make sense. Make it make sense," which encapsulates the song's raw intensity.
Alongside "Make It Make Sense," the band also released another single titled "LeBron" on the same day. This track leans more towards their pop-punk roots, using NBA star LeBron James as a metaphor for overcoming critics and doubters. These two singles represent different facets of A Day To Remember's musical spectrum, demonstrating their versatility as artists.
The new album, co-produced by frontman Jeremy McKinnon alongside Drew Fulk (WZRD BLD) and Zakk Cervini, also features collaborations with other notable figures in the rock scene. These include Cody Quistad of Wage War, Will Putney, and Colin Brittain, known for his work with Linkin Park. The album consists of 12 tracks, including previously released singles "Feedback" and "Miracle".
A Day To Remember's musical journey began in 2003, with their debut album "And Their Name Was Treason" released in 2005. Over the years, they've become known for their unique amalgamation of metalcore and pop-punk, which has set them apart in the rock music landscape. The band's current lineup includes vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, drummer Alex Shelnutt, and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff.
With their new album and singles, A Day To Remember continues to solidify their position as innovators in the rock music scene, blending aggressive metalcore elements with catchy pop-punk hooks. As they embark on their 2025 tour, including appearances at Knotfest Australia and Slam Dunk Festival in the UK, fans around the world will have the opportunity to experience their new material live.
