A Foreign Affair Unveils New Track "SOS"
A Foreign Affair has released their new single "SOS" on November 29, 2024, continuing their musical evolution. "SOS" joins the band's growing catalog of music that includes tracks such as "Passing Through" and "I'm Your Ghost" from their 2017 EP, "Empty Houses."
This latest track follows single "Hollow" released earlier this year, and 2023's debut album "Still Frame."
A Foreign Affair emerged from Sacramento, California, as a five-piece alternative rock band. The group formed after vocalist Alex Strobaugh left his previous band Incredible Me, joining forces with drummer Andrew Kinsey and guitarist Jared Cambridge as the core founding members.
The band describes themselves as "a hard hitting band with progressive guitars complemented by electronic nuances." Their sound has been shaped by Sacramento's vibrant music scene, particularly influenced by Dance Gavin Dance. They incorporate electronic elements inspired by bands like PVRIS and Sacramento's own Tycho.
The band has been deeply embedded in Sacramento's music scene for years, with their sound particularly influenced by the progressive aspects of the area's musical landscape. Their connection to the local scene was highlighted when they performed at the "Louder Than Love" benefit show at Ace of Spades, paying tribute to Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington.
