Avantasia Unveils Catchy New Single "Creepshow" as Prelude to Upcoming Album and European Tour

Avantasia has released their new single "Creepshow" on December 5, 2024, marking the beginning of a new era for the band. The track, written and composed by Tobias Sammet, was produced and recorded by Sammet alongside Sascha Paeth, who also handled the mixing. Michael Rodenberg took charge of mastering the single.

"Creepshow" is being hailed as one of the catchiest songs in Avantasia's career, showcasing a light-hearted and non-melancholic side of Sammet's work. The track features spellbinding choirs and theatrical symphonic metal elements, staying true to Avantasia's signature sound. To complement the song, a music video was shot in a haunted castle in North England, celebrating a night in the world of spectres and undead creatures.

The single is part of Avantasia's upcoming 10th studio album, "Here Be Dragons," set to release on February 28, 2025. Sammet describes the album as the most consistent and concise piece of art the band has ever crafted.

Following the album release, Avantasia will embark on an extensive arena tour across Europe. The tour kicks off on March 14 in Hamburg, Germany, and includes stops in major cities such as Brussels, Paris, London, Prague, Budapest, Milan, Barcelona, and Stockholm. The final show is scheduled for April 26 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Avantasia, led by Tobias Sammet, has been a prominent force in the metal scene for 25 years. Known for their symphonic rock and metal extravaganzas, the band has released nine successful albums prior to "Here Be Dragons." Their previous album, "Moonglow," reached #1 on the charts. The upcoming album marks their debut with Napalm Records and is anticipated to be their most powerful and consistent work to date.
