Black Label Society Unleashes Heavy-Hitting New Single "Lord Humungus"
Black Label Society, the heavy metal juggernaut led by guitar virtuoso Zakk Wylde, has unleashed their latest sonic assault with "Lord Humungus", released via Spinefarm Records on February 21, 2025. The track delivers the band's signature groove-laden sound, emerging as a powerful testament to their musical prowess with thunderous rhythms, searing guitar work, and commanding energy.
Founded in 1998 by Wylde, Black Label Society has been a dominant force in the heavy metal scene for over two decades. The band's current lineup features Wylde on vocals and guitar, John "J.D." DeServio on bass, Jeff Fabb on drums, and Dario Lorina on rhythm guitar.
"Lord Humungus" follows the release of another single, "The Gallows," which dropped in September 2024. These new tracks showcase the band's continued evolution while staying true to their heavy metal roots. The music video for "Lord Humungus" has been described as "brutal, hilarious, and downright Berzerker quality ferocity".
Black Label Society's discography spans eleven studio albums, with their most recent full-length release being "Doom Crew Inc." in 2021. The band's musical journey began with "Sonic Brew" in 1999 and has included critically acclaimed albums such as "The Blessed Hellride" (2003) and "Mafia" (2005).

While fans eagerly await the new single, Wylde has hinted at the possibility of a new Black Label Society album in late 2025 or early 2026. However, the band's immediate future includes participation in the Pantera celebration tour throughout 2025, as well as performances with Wylde's Black Sabbath tribute project, Zakk Sabbath.
