Chat Pile Announces New Album 'Cool World' and Fall Tour with Release of Single 'Camcorder'
Chat Pile, the Oklahoma City-based noise rock foursome, is set to release their new track "Camcorder" as part of their upcoming album "Cool World" on October 11, 2024, via The Flenser. The album, which includes "Camcorder," was mixed by Ben Greenberg of Uniform, who helped capture and amplify the band's outsider and folk-art edge.
While specific themes for "Camcorder" are not detailed, "Cool World" as a whole explores themes similar to their previous album "God's Country," but on a larger scale. The new album focuses on disasters abroad and at home, and how they affect one another. Vocalist Raygun Busch described the album as being about "the price at which we eat sugar in America."
To promote "Cool World" and tracks like "Camcorder," Chat Pile will embark on a tour in November. The tour kicks off on November 1 in Oklahoma City and concludes on November 22 in Nashville, with stops in major cities across the United States and Canada. Supporting acts for select dates include Agriculture, Porcelain, Mamaleek, and thirdface.
