Dawn Of Solace Unveils New Track "Fortress" from Upcoming Album "Affliction Vortex"
Dawn Of Solace, the Finnish melancholic metal band founded by Tuomas Saukkonen, has released their new track "Fortress" on November 29, 2024. The song is part of the upcoming album "Affliction Vortex," set to be released on February 14, 2025.
"Fortress" features a collaborative effort, with Saukkonen handling drums, guitars, bass, and growling vocals. Mikko Heikkilä contributes clean and growling vocals, Saku Moilanen is on keyboards, and Jukka Salovaara provides guitar solos. Notably, the lyrics for "Fortress" were co-written with an Australian poet, adding a new dimension to the song's composition.
Described as the most intensive song on the new album, "Fortress" showcases a new kind of energy and progression in Dawn Of Solace's music. The powerful lyrics, enhanced by the collaboration with the Australian poet, are said to have a significant impact on the chorus.
