Disturbed Unleashes New Single "I Will Not Break"

Disturbed has unleashed their latest single "I Will Not Break" on February 21, 2025, marking a pivotal moment as the inaugural release on their newly established Mother Culture Records. The track demonstrates the band's masterful balance of honoring their signature sound while pushing creative boundaries.
"I Will Not Break" is Disturbed's first new music since their album "Divisive," which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. The song, produced by Drew Fulk (also known as WZRD BLD), who previously worked with the band on "Divisive," is described as "a necessary song, about becoming stronger than the forces that constantly try to tear you down".
Building on their previous successful collaboration, Fulk's expertise shines through once again. In crafting the song, guitarist Dan Donegan revealed their intentional approach to capture an "old-school delivery" from frontman David Draiman, drawing inspiration from the band's late 90s demo recordings.
Lyrically, the song delves into deeply personal territory, with frontman David Draiman stating "I did not realize how poignant and therapeutic this song would become when I originally wrote it. I needed it." With lines such as "I've had enough of feeling terrified / Now I'm deciding / That I won't be hiding from anyone," the band create a resonate message, encouraging listeners to push back against adversity.
Throughout their career, Disturbed has achieved remarkable success, selling over 17 million records worldwide and earning six RIAA certifications for their albums. Their debut album, "The Sickness," released in 2000, has been certified 5x platinum and includes hits like "Down With the Sickness" and "Stupify".
In celebration of "The Sickness" turning 25, Disturbed recently announced a 25th-anniversary edition of the album, set to be released on March 7, 2025. This special release will include various formats, such as a limited-edition box set, a 2-CD deluxe edition with B-sides and unreleased demos, and vinyl editions.
The band is also gearing up for their "The Sickness" 25th Anniversary Tour, which kicks off on February 25, 2025, in Nampa, Idaho. The tour will feature two sets each night, with Disturbed playing "The Sickness" in full, followed by a set of their greatest hits.
Disturbed's musical style is characterized by aggressive rhythms, Draiman's distinctive vocals, and a blend of classic metal influences with modern sounds. With "I Will Not Break" and their upcoming tour, Disturbed continues to solidify their position as one of the most successful and enduring metal acts of the 21st century, consistently evolving while staying true to their hard-hitting roots.
