Eisbrecher Unveils New Single "Everything is wunderbar"
German industrial metal veterans Eisbrecher released "Everything is Wunderbar" on November 29, 2024, as the first single from their upcoming ninth studio album "Kaltfront," set for release on March 14, 2025.
"Everything is Wunderbar" serves as a critical commentary on modern society's hedonistic attitudes. The track addresses the growing coldness in world affairs and human hearts, with lyrics that challenge society's self-indulgent behavior even in the face of looming catastrophe. The song features powerful German lyrics like "Wir liegen uns zu Füßen / Wir denken megagroß / Wir graden unser Leben up / Und jagen alles hoch" (We lie at each other's feet / We think mega-big / We upgrade our lives / And drive everything up).
The track combines hard-hitting guitars, feverish synthesizers, and towering drums, maintaining Eisbrecher's signature industrial metal sound. The composition reflects the band's characteristic blend of thunderous hardness and dripping cynicism, elements that have defined their sound for over two decades.
"Kaltfront" is described as a "manifesto against indifference, stagnation and obsession with self-optimisation." The album follows their successful releases "Sturmfahrt" (2017) and "Liebe Macht Monster" (2021), both of which topped the German album charts.
Prior to "Everything is Wunderbar," Eisbrecher released a cover of "Tränen lügen nicht" on November 21, 2024, accompanied by a music video. These releases mark the band's first new material since their 2021 album "Liebe Macht Monster."
