Eluveitie Unveils "Premonition," Blending Celtic Mythology with Melodic Death Metal in Anticipation of 2025 Album and Tour
Eluveitie has released their new track "Premonition" on December 5, 2024, marking their first new music in two years. The song showcases the band's signature blend of melodic death metal and traditional folk, drawing from their long-standing involvement with both modern metal and Celtic mythology.
"Premonition" is described as laying bare the heart and soul of Eluveitie's music, transporting deep ancient Celtic wisdom into the modern age. Frontman Chrigel Glanzmann commented on the track, stating that it "wields druidic words to point out the way through the deepest struggle within and all around ourselves."
This release serves as a precursor to Eluveitie's upcoming album, set to be released next year. The track signifies a return to their signature sound, blending folk and metal elements that have defined their music for over two decades.
Following the release of "Premonition," Eluveitie will embark on their headline tour titled 'ÁNV RISING – EUROPE', starting in January 2025. Later in the year, they will join Arch Enemy, Amorphis, and Gatecreeper on the "EUROPEAN BLOOD DYNASTY 2025 TOUR". UK dates for this tour include:
- October 30, 2025: Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
- October 31, 2025: O2 Apollo, Manchester
- November 1, 2025: Eventim Apollo, London
The release of "Premonition" follows Eluveitie's previous album "Ategnatos" from 2019 and singles like "Aidus" and "Exile of the Gods" released in 2022. Despite recent lineup changes, the band continues to produce music that stays true to their Celtic metal roots.
