Elvenking Releases New Single "Throes of Atonement"
Elvenking has released their new single "Throes of Atonement" on November 29, 2024. The track is part of the third and final chapter of the band's 'Reader of the Runes' trilogy, continuing the narrative and thematic elements established in the previous albums of the series.
"Throes of Atonement" marks a significant milestone for Elvenking, as it represents the first song from the concluding instalment of their trilogy. This release signals the culmination of the band's storytelling and musical themes developed throughout the 'Reader of the Runes' saga.
In support of the album featuring "Throes of Atonement," Elvenking will embark on a European tour in 2025. The tour, which is part of the Pagan Fest, includes performances at various venues across Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. The tour will feature supporting acts such as Alestorm, Ensiferum, Tyr, and Heidevolk, creating a diverse lineup for fans of the genre.
In recent developments, Elvenking has signed with Reaper Entertainment, a move that coincides with the release of "Throes of Atonement." The band is also scheduled to participate in the Into the Grave festival in June 2025.
