Epica Unveils "Arcana"
Epica, the Dutch symphonic metal band, has released their new single "Arcana" on November 13, 2024. This track marks the band's first new release since their 2021 album "Omega" and the collaboration EP "The Alchemy Project" in 2022, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in their two-decade-long career.
"Arcana" explores themes of spiritual evolution, guiding listeners through universal stages of life towards higher consciousness and spiritual self-awareness. The song maintains classic Epica elements while incorporating influences from 80s alternative rock and modern metal, offering a glimpse into the band's future musical direction.
The music video for "Arcana" was directed by Remko Tielemans, a collaborator who has previously worked with the band. Written by Epica's members, the track showcases their continued commitment to evolving their sound while staying true to their symphonic metal roots.
Fans can look forward to seeing Epica perform live at two upcoming shows at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City on December 6 and 7, 2024. The band is also scheduled to play at Metalfest Open Air in the Czech Republic in June 2025.
