Eye of the Enemy Drops Title Track "Only Equals Negotiate" From New EP

Eye of the Enemy have released their latest EP, with title track "Only Equals Negotiate." The Melbourne-based melodic death metal band continues to evolve their sound while maintaining their signature aggressive style.

The new song "Only Equals Negotiate" makes up part of the 4-track EP, which also includes "[Redacted]" in collaboration with Mark Samual Bonanno from Australian comedy group Aunty Donna.

Formed in 2006, Eye of the Enemy has established themselves as a powerful force in Melbourne's metal scene. The current lineup features Mitch Alexander on vocals, Chris Kane on guitar, Maurizio Piras on guitar, James McInnes on bass, and Simon Headley on drums. Their journey began when the founding members connected through an online forum, leading to their self-titled EP release in 2008.

The band has consistently pushed boundaries in the melodic death metal genre, drawing influence from acts like At The Gates and Children of Bodom. Their discography includes three full-length albums: "Weight of Redemption" (2010), "The Vengeance Paradox" (2014), and "Titan" (2019). Throughout their career, they've shared stages with prominent acts including Cradle of Filth, Amon Amarth, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.

Prior to "Only Equals Negotiate," Eye of the Enemy released "All of It For All of Us" in March 2024. The band has maintained their position in the Australian metal scene through high-energy live performances and continued musical innovation.
