Feuerschwanz Unleashes Latest Single "Knightclub" Featuring Dag From SDP

Feuerschwanz, the German medieval metal band formed in 2004 in Erlangen, has unveiled their latest single, "Knightclub (feat. Dag from SDP)", through Napalm Records on February 21, 2025. The song features Dag-Alexis Kopplin from the German hip-hop group SDP as a guest artist, adding a unique flavor to Feuerschwanz's signature sound. This collaboration brings together two distinct musical styles, enhancing the track's appeal and showcasing the band's versatility.

"Knightclub" is described by the band as "the essence of 20 years of Feuerschwanz," blending their heaviest riffs and most epic hooks with references to legendary heroes from fantasy and history. The lyrics invite an array of iconic figures, from Ned Stark to Lancelot, to join in an epic battle-turned-celebration in the titular "Knight Club".

Feuerschwanz has evolved significantly since their formation, transitioning from a "medieval comedy" band to a more serious heavy metal outfit. This transformation is evident in their recent works, including their last two studio albums, "Memento Mori" (2021) and "Fegefeuer" (2023), both of which debuted at #1 on the official German album charts.

The band's current lineup includes founding member Peter Henrici, along with Benjamin Metzner, Hans Platz, and Stephanie Pracht, who have been with the group since the late 2000s. Their musical style has shifted from medieval folk rock to a more intense heavy metal approach, particularly after signing with Napalm Records in 2020.

Feuerschwanz's rise to prominence in the German metal scene is marked by sold-out headline tours and prime spots at major festivals. A notable highlight in their career was their 20th anniversary show at the end of 2024, where they performed in front of over 7,000 fans at Metfest, the largest in the event's history.

The release of "Knightclub" comes at an exciting time for Feuerschwanz, as they are currently competing in the German preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The band impressed the jury in the first show on February 14 with their cover of O-Zone's "Dragostea din tei" and is set to perform again in the semi-finals.

With "Knightclub," Feuerschwanz continues to demonstrate their ability to blend medieval themes with modern metal, creating a unique sound that resonates with fans of both genres. The song's catchy hook and infectious beats are designed to create the perfect atmosphere at metal shows, further cementing the band's reputation as a formidable force in the German metal scene.
