Finnish Melodic Death Metal Band Voidfallen Unleashes "Branding of Souls" from Upcoming Album
On December 4, 2024, Finnish melodic death metal outfit Voidfallen released their new single "Branding of Souls," accompanied by an official music video. The track is taken from their upcoming album "The Rituals of Resilience," set to be released on January 24, 2025, via Noble Demon.
"Branding of Souls" showcases Voidfallen's signature blend of aggression and melody, representing a darker and more aggressive side of the band. The song features relentless beats, ominous choirs, and truculent vocals, creating a powerful soundtrack for its message1. The band comments, "Branding of Souls can mean a different thing to everyone. To one it might be spiritual but to another it might be political. The core message is still the same: fight and resist the ill and draconian oppression that is forced upon you".
Voidfallen, originally formed in 2019 as a two-piece project by guitarists Tommi Kangaskortet and Henri Vuorenmaa, has since expanded into a full band. Their current lineup includes Lauri Honkola (vocals), Henri Vuorenmaa (guitars), Tommi Kangaskortet (guitars), Lauri Myllylä (bass), and Mika Lumijärvi (drums).
