Fit For An Autopsy Unveils Provocative New Track 'Lower Purpose' Ahead of Upcoming Album Release
Fit For An Autopsy has released their new track "Lower Purpose" on October 10, 2024. The song is part of the band's upcoming album "The Nothing That Is," set to drop on October 25, 2024, via Nuclear Blast Records.
"Lower Purpose" tackles themes of societal disillusionment, focusing on the disconnect between citizens' expectations and the actions of those in power. The band explains the song's message: "You work, you pay taxes, and you expect the people in positions of power and government to serve your needs and the needs of other citizens, when in reality they serve their own agendas. Greed, war, corruption, it's almost impossible to free yourself from this cycle. You inevitably serve a lower purpose."
This new release follows the success of Fit For An Autopsy's 2022 LP, "Oh, What the Future Holds," which garnered significant attention for the New Jersey-based deathcore band. While detailed critical reception for "Lower Purpose" is not yet available, early listeners and media outlets have described the track as "devastating" and "intense."
"The Nothing That Is" marks the band's latest offering through Nuclear Blast Records, continuing their evolution in the deathcore genre.
