Full of Hell Unveils "Burdened by Solar Mass" from Upcoming Album with Andrew Nolan, Announces Fall Tour Dates
Full of Hell has released "Burdened by Solar Mass," the lead single from their upcoming collaborative album "Scraping the Divine" with Andrew Nolan, on October 17, 2024. The track, recorded between 2019 and 2023, showcases a unique blend of mangled guitars and dub pulses, exploring themes of cosmic insignificance.
Dylan Walker of Full of Hell described the song as "the first meeting point between Full of Hell and Andrew Nolan," emphasizing its focus on humanity's insignificance in the universe. The track is characterized as a "discordant, consuming colossus," combining traditional metal instrumentation with industrial electronic textures.
"Scraping the Divine" was recorded by producers Seth Manchester of Machines with Magnets and Kevin Bernsten of Developing Nations. Andrew Nolan led the mixing and production, with Nick Townsend handling mastering duties. The album features additional guest appearances by Justin K Broadrick, Taichi Nagura, GxCx, Intensive Care, and Alex Hughes.
In support of the album, Full of Hell will embark on a tour starting November 3, 2024, in Asheville, North Carolina, and concluding on December 2, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. The tour includes stops across the United States and Canada, with venues such as the Orange Peel, Music Farm, and The Orpheum. Full of Hell will be direct support for Better Lovers during this tour. Additional European dates are scheduled for February and March 2025.
Full of Hell, known for their intense grindcore sound, continues to push boundaries with this collaboration. The band recently worked with Nothing on the critically acclaimed album "When No Birds Sang," further solidifying their reputation for experimental ventures in extreme music.
