Gemini Syndrome Releases "2B1," New Single From Upcoming Album "Origin: From Nothingness to Everything"
Gemini Syndrome, the Los Angeles-based alternative metal band, has unveiled their latest track, "2B1", marking a significant milestone in their musical evolution. This new single serves as a compelling preview of their forthcoming album 'Origin: From Nothingness to Everything,' slated for release later in 2025. The band, formed in 2010, has consistently pushed the boundaries of their sound, blending elements of alternative metal, nu metal, and hard rock.
"2B1" follows closely on the heels of their previous single, "Suffer in Silence," released earlier in 2025. These tracks offer listeners a taste of the band's new sonic direction, which frontman Aaron Nordstrom describes as "a departure from the norm". The upcoming album, 'Origin: From Nothingness to Everything,' is being produced by Matt Good and represents a prequel to their previous works, exploring themes of transformation and authenticity.
Gemini Syndrome's current lineup consists of Aaron Nordstrom on lead vocals, Brian Steele Medina on drums, Alessandro Paveri on bass, and Miguel "Meegs" Rascón on guitars. This configuration has been stable since 2017, following several lineup changes in the band's earlier years.
The band's discography includes three studio albums: 'Lux' (2013), 'Memento Mori' (2016), and '3rd Degree - The Raising' (2021). Each of these albums has charted on various Billboard charts, with 'Memento Mori' reaching number 1 on the Heatseekers chart. Their singles have also found success on the Mainstream Rock charts, with tracks like "Stardust" and "Remember We Die" breaking into the top 25.
Gemini Syndrome's music is characterized by its introspective lyrics, heavy guitar riffs, and Nordstrom's dynamic vocal range. The band has drawn comparisons to acts like Mudvayne, Five Finger Death Punch, and Tool, while carving out their own unique space in the alternative metal scene.
As they prepare to release 'Origin: From Nothingness to Everything,' Gemini Syndrome continues to evolve their sound. Drummer Brian Steele Medina has described the upcoming album as "about the space before everything," suggesting a conceptual depth to the new material. The band's decision to release the album one song at a time underscores their desire for each track to be fully absorbed by listeners, treating the album as a journey rather than a single entity.
With "2B1" and the forthcoming album, Gemini Syndrome appears poised to further cement their place in the modern metal landscape, offering fans a sonic experience that balances aggression with introspection, and raw authenticity with polished production.
