Ice Nine Kills Announces New Single 'A Work of Art' Featuring Shavo Odadjian, Tied to 'Terrifier 3' Release

Ice Nine Kills is set to release their new single "A Work of Art" on October 11, 2024, coinciding with the theatrical release of the movie Terrifier 3. The track serves as the lead single for the band's upcoming album The Silver Scream 3.

"A Work of Art" is produced by Drew Fulk and features a notable collaboration with Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, who contributes as a guitarist. The music video, directed by longtime Ice Nine Kills collaborator Andrew Justin Smith, includes additional music contributions from WZRD BLD, Paul Wiley, and Francesco Ferrini. Lyrics for the track were penned by Spencer Charnas and Steve Sopchak.

Thematically, the song draws inspiration from the Terrifier franchise, specifically referencing the villain Art the Clown. This continues Ice Nine Kills' tradition of incorporating horror movie themes into their music, following their previous album Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2.
