Imperial Triumphant has released their new track "Hotel Sphinx" on November 13, 2024. The song's concept revolves around an "Entertainer extraordinaire" guiding a gullible audience through the sinister halls of the titular hotel. In this world, "the lines between entertainment, initiation, and exploitation blur" and "political celebrity celebrates death" as "the show never ends."
Imperial Triumphant, formed in 2005, is a New York City-based avant-garde extreme metal band. They are known for their esoteric influences and disorienting sound, which has been shaped by their exposure to avant-garde and classical music. The band has previously collaborated with notable artists such as Trey Spruance of Mr Bungle and Tomas Haake of Meshuggah.
