Jinjer Drops New Track "Green Serpent"

Ukrainian modern progressive metal band Jinjer has released their latest track "Green Serpent." The song is part of their upcoming fifth studio album, Duél, which marks the band's first full-length release since 2021's Wallflowers.

"Green Serpent" explores themes of temptation, addiction, and the blurred lines between control and being controlled. The track's structure reflects its thematic content, beginning with calm, clear vocals before transitioning into heavier, more aggressive sections – mirroring the transformation of a serene night into a raging storm.

While specific production details for "Green Serpent" are not available, the album Duél is described as having undergone a lengthy and meticulous production process. Notably, vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk participated in vocal pre-productions for the first time during the album's creation.

To support the release of Duél, Jinjer has announced an extensive tour schedule. The band will perform shows in South and Central America in December 2024, including stops at Opiniao in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and Teatro Flores in Buenos Aires, Argentina. An Oceania tour is planned for February 2025, covering Australia and New Zealand.

From May 2025, Jinjer will embark on North American and European festival circuits, with appearances confirmed at Sonic Temple, Welcome To Rockville, Download, Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park, and other major events.
