Labyrinth Unveils "Welcome Twilight" Single Ahead of New Album
Italian power metal veterans Labyrinth have released their new single "Welcome Twilight" on November 5, 2024. The track serves as the first taste of their upcoming album "In The Vanishing Echoes Of Goodbye," set to release on January 24, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Describing "Welcome Twilight," the band states: "After the absurd circus brought on by COVID-19, not only have we not emerged better, but we now find ourselves in a truly complicated historical period. Now more than ever, si vis pacem, para bellum — if we want peace, we must prepare for war. Our freedom, entirely illusory, is subordinate to those who decide the balance of this weary planet."
Labyrinth also expressed their enthusiasm about the new album: "In The Vanishing Echoes Of Goodbye is our latest work. As the years go by, we feel increasingly free from formulas and stylistic boundaries that sometimes trap a band within a specific musical genre. With this album, we set out to achieve total freedom, allowing each of us to fully express ourselves."
The band further added, "Perhaps for this reason, combined with the reality of living in increasingly dark times, this work has become our heaviest, fastest, and angriest album to date, while still making it to keep our typical melodic/melancholic touch. We are very proud of it, and today, that's what Labyrinth are."
"In The Vanishing Echoes Of Goodbye" will feature ten tracks, including "Welcome Twilight." The album is now available for pre-order through Frontiers Music Srl.
Labyrinth's current lineup consists of Roberto Tiranti (vocals), Andrea Cantarelli (guitars), Olaf Thorsen (guitars), Oleg Smirnoff (keyboards and piano), Nik Mazzucconi (bass), and Matt Peruzzi (drums).
