LANDMVRKS Announces New Album with Release of Singles "Sulfur" and "Sombre 16"

On December 12, 2024, French metalcore band LANDMVRKS made a significant announcement with the release of two new singles, "Sulfur" and "Sombre 16," ahead of their upcoming album "The Darkest Place I've Ever Been." The album, set to be released on April 25, 2025, via Arising Empire, marks the band's fourth full-length record since their formation in 2014.

"Sulfur" and "Sombre 16" serve as a powerful introduction to the new album, continuing a narrative that began with one of their previous releases, "Creature." The band explains, "‘Sulfur’ and ‘Sombre 16’ are two new tracks that continue the story from ‘Creature,’ while also introducing the universe of the new album The Darkest Place That I’ve Ever Been. In these tracks, and this new album, we follow a protagonist as he descends deeper and deeper into hell, undergoing both physical and mental transformation".

Both singles showcase LANDMVRKS' signature blend of metalcore with elements of nu-metal, hardcore, and post-rock. "Sulfur" features heavy riffs and melodic moments, while "Sombre 16" has a more Linkin Park-inspired feel, with vocalist Florent Salfati incorporating rapping in French. The tracks were produced by the band members themselves and directed by Pavel Trebukhin for the music video, which combines well-produced aggression with sweeping melodies.

To support the release of "The Darkest Place I've Ever Been," LANDMVRKS will embark on a North American tour starting in March 2025, alongside Imminence. The tour includes dates in major cities such as Worcester, MA, Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON, and Los Angeles, CA, among others. Additionally, the band will perform several shows in France in February 2025.Here are some of the key tour dates:
