Majestica Unveils New Single "Power Train," Leading Upcoming Album Release
Majestica, the Swedish symphonic power metal quartet, has unveiled their highly anticipated new single "Power Train," which serves as the title track for their upcoming album set to release on February 7, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records. This release marks the band's return after a four-year hiatus since their last album, promising to set a new standard in their musical journey.
The title track "Power Train" offers fans a thrilling preview of what's to come. Described as "explosive power metal with a 'can't stop singing along' chorus," the single showcases Majestica's signature blend of powerful riffs and epic melodies. Vocalist and guitarist Tommy Johansson emphasizes the song's catchy nature, suggesting it will quickly become a fan favorite.
Majestica has maintained their hands-on approach to music creation, with the band producing the album themselves. Most of the recording took place in their new facility, Majestic Studios, with mixing handled by Jonas Kjellgren, known for his work on their previous albums "A Christmas Carol" and "Metal United".
The album's artwork, created in collaboration with Jan Yrlund of Darkgrove Design, invites listeners to join the "majestic ride of the Power Train". Bassist Chris Davidsson describes the artwork as capturing the anticipation of standing on a platform, waiting to board this musical journey.
To support the album release, Majestica will embark on "The Dead Don't Die Tour" starting December 26, 2024, alongside headliners Dominum and support act Hammer King. The tour will cover seven cities, primarily in Germany. Additionally, the band has confirmed several festival appearances for 2025, including 70000 Tons of Metal, Epic Fest, Metal Fest Open Air, Time To Rock, and ProgPower USA.
With "Power Train," Majestica aims to deliver their strongest album to date, promising an enchanting musical journey that will transport listeners to a fairytale world of symphonic power metal.
