Marko Hietala Unveils New Solo Track "Impatient Zero (Edit)"
Former Nightwish bassist/vocalist Marko Hietala has released "Impatient Zero (Edit)" as the latest single from his upcoming album "Roses From The Deep," set for release on February 7, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records.
"Impatient Zero (Edit)" explores deeply personal themes, with Hietala describing it as "a battle for being under a continuous assault of inner monsters. And the awful truth, that in this reality, people get to see those monsters, too, instead of the real face." The track features a stomping, groovy beat and grand, anthemic chorus that sets the tone for the upcoming album.
"Roses From The Deep" marks Hietala's first major project since his acclaimed 2020 release "Pyre Of The Black Heart." The album features ten tracks, including collaborations like "Left On Mars," a duet with former Nightwish vocalist Tarja Turunen, and "Frankenstein's Wife."
To support the album's release, Hietala has announced a Finnish tour with his band, beginning February 7, 2025, at Finlandia Klubi in Lahti. The tour includes stops in Kuopio, Helsinki, Savonlinna, Tampere, and concludes in Turku on February 15.
The album will be available in multiple formats, including CD jewelcase and a special oxblood red 2LP gatefold edition featuring bonus content, including "Impatient Zero (Edit)" and live recordings from Utrecht 2024.
