Mötley Crüe Returns with New EP "Cancelled": A Provocative Reentry into Rock Scene

Mötley Crüe is set to release their new EP "Cancelled" on October 4, 2024, featuring the title track "Cancelled." The EP, produced by Bob Rock, marks the band's first new music since 2019 and their debut release with Big Machine Rock.

The track "Cancelled" was written by Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and John Lowery. Its inspiration came from an article questioning how Mötley Crüe had never been "cancelled" despite their controversial history. Tommy Lee commented on the song's genesis, saying they "sneaked in under the whatever threshold" and "got away with fucking murder."

This release signifies a new chapter for Mötley Crüe, featuring new guitarist John 5 and marking the absence of former guitarist Mick Mars. The band now consists of lead vocalist Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee, and John 5 on guitar.
