Paleface Swiss Reveals Emotionally Charged Metal Ballad "River Of Sorrows" as Closing Track on New Album "Cursed"

Paleface Swiss, the Zurich-based deathcore band, has released their highly anticipated third studio album, "Cursed," on January 3, 2025, through Blood Blast Distribution. The album's closing track, "River Of Sorrows," serves as a powerful and emotive finale to the record.

The track showcases the band's evolution, featuring clean vocals and a more melodic approach compared to their typically brutal sound. The track explores themes of betrayal and emotional turmoil, with Zelli delivering a moving performance that highlights his vocal range. The song is symbolized by the Purple Hyacinth, representing sorrow, regret, and forgiveness, aligning with the album's concept of each track being represented by a specific flower.

Formed in 2017, Paleface Swiss has quickly risen to prominence in the global metal scene. The band's current lineup consists of vocalist Marc "Zelli" Zellweger, guitarist Yannick Lehmann, bassist Tommy Lee, and drummer Cassiano "Cassi" Toma. Known for their aggressive riffs, intense rhythm section, and Zelli's distinctive vocals, Paleface Swiss has garnered a significant following, with their music accumulating over 110 million streams and 21 million YouTube views.

"Cursed" marks a significant milestone for Paleface Swiss, as it represents their most ambitious and conceptually cohesive work to date. The album was crafted during a secluded writing session in the Canary Islands, with production assistance from Ron Steven Deris at Misueno Studios and longtime collaborator Florent Salfati of Landmvrks. The record features nine tracks, including previously released singles such as "Hatred," "My Blood On Your Hands," and "Love Burns".

In support of "Cursed," Paleface Swiss has announced an extensive headlining tour for 2025, covering Europe, the UK, and North America. The tour is set to be their largest headlining run yet, with support acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

Paleface Swiss continues to push the boundaries of the deathcore genre, incorporating elements of nu-metal, rap, and melodic metal into their sound. With "Cursed," the band demonstrates their willingness to explore new sonic territories while maintaining the heaviness that has defined their career thus far.
