Rioghan Unveils "Hands" as Second Single from Upcoming Album "Kept"
Finnish progressive metal band Rioghan has unveiled their latest single "Hands" on November 8, 2024. The track serves as the second single from their highly anticipated second studio album "Kept," which is scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, via Inverse Records.
The band commented on the single: "'Hands’ hits with raw agony from the get go, compiling complicated emotions arising from a place of abuse and unsafety, threading back and forth on the line of apathy and fight or flight-response. Musically the song gives you a false feeling of safety at first, until it sheds its’ skin halfway through, evolving to a new version of itself."
"Hands" was composed by Teemu Liekkala and Jenni Perämäki, with lyrics by Jenni Perämäki. The song was arranged by Tero Luukkonen, Antti Varjanne, and Valtteri Revonkorpi.
Rioghan, founded in 2019, has been described as "a fresh breeze to progressive metal scene from Finland," blending elements of both gothic and progressive metal genres.
