Rivers of Nihil has unveiled their latest single, "House of Light", marking the first release from their forthcoming self-titled album. The track, which debuted on February 7, 2025, masterfully combines the band's progressive metal foundations with extreme metal intensity, featuring live saxophonist Patrick Corona. The accompanying music video, helmed by acclaimed director David Brodsky, provides a striking visual complement to the song.

The production team of Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio has crafted a sophisticated sonic landscape, handling both mixing and mastering duties. Guitarist Brody Uttley emphasizes that "House of Light" perfectly represents the band's current direction, showcasing their revamped lineup featuring Andy Thomas on rhythm guitar and vocals, alongside Adam Biggs' transition to lead vocalist. The track delivers a compelling fusion of technical riffing, memorable choruses, and virtuosic soloing that has become the band's trademark.

The past few years have marked a period of transformation for Rivers of Nihil, beginning with original vocalist Jake Dieffenbach's departure in 2022. This change catalyzed an internal restructuring, with bassist Adam Biggs ascending to the role of lead vocalist and former Black Crown Initiate member Andy Thomas joining as a permanent fixture. These adjustments have brought renewed vitality to the band's musical output.

The group is set to embark on "The Aggressive Progressive Tour" across North America, launching from Philadelphia, PA on May 22, 2025, and concluding in Toronto, ON on June 22, 2025. Supported by Holy Fawn, Inter Arma, and Glacial Tomb, the tour promises an exceptional showcase of progressive metal talent. "House of Light" stands as a compelling preview of Rivers of Nihil's upcoming album, scheduled for release on May 30, 2025.
