Sarcator Unleashes "Comet of End Times" from Upcoming Album "Swarming Angels & Flies"
Swedish blackened thrash metal band Sarcator released their new single "Comet of End Times" on November 14, 2024. The track is taken from their upcoming album "Swarming Angels & Flies," set to be released on January 17, 2025, via Century Media Records.
"Comet of End Times" showcases Sarcator's dynamic approach to metal, blending various styles and influences. Vocalist Mateo Tervonen describes the track: "It throws you around between different soundscapes, shifting from total death metal worship to Sabbath-grooves while maintaining a unique flow to it that ties everything together and makes it work very well. A strong pillar of the album."14
The song has been well-received, with critics noting its ferocity and the band's ability to blend different metal subgenres effectively.
"Swarming Angels & Flies" is Sarcator's third full-length release and their debut with Century Media Records. The album is described as the band's most intense, brutal, and raw creation to date, blending extreme elements with influences from classic rock and post-punk.
Sarcator, comprised of young members in their early 20s, has quickly gained recognition in the Swedish metal scene. The band features Mateo Tervonen (vocals, guitar), son of The Crown's rhythm guitarist Marko Tervonen, adding to their pedigree in the metal world.
To promote "Swarming Angels & Flies," Sarcator will embark on "The Rising Four" tour in autumn/winter 2024, featuring supporting acts Eradikated, Eternal Evil, and Bloodstain.
