Sarcator Unveils New Track "Where the Void Begins" Ahead of Upcoming Album
Swedish blackened thrash metal band Sarcator has unleashed their latest single "Where the Void Begins" on December 12, 2024. This powerful track serves as the third single from their highly anticipated third studio album, "Swarming Angels & Flies," scheduled for release on January 17, 2025, via Century Media Records.
"Where the Void Begins" is described as the heaviest track on the upcoming album, showcasing Sarcator's evolution in sound and songwriting. The band explains that the song feels like a continuation of "The Long Lost" from their 2022 album "Alkahest," exploring themes of isolation, loss, and the allure of the unknown. The track culminates in what the band calls "a total rock n' roll frenzy," highlighting their ability to blend intense thrash elements with more melodic passages.
"Swarming Angels & Flies" marks Sarcator's debut release with Century Media Records and their third full-length album overall. The album consists of eight original tracks and three bonus cover songs available on the limited CD Jewelcase edition. Recorded between April and August 2024, the album was produced by the legendary Machine at The Machine Shop Recording Studio in Austin, Texas.
Sarcator's sound blends elements of thrash metal with influences from classic heavy metal and even post-punk. "Swarming Angels & Flies" is described as their most intense, brutal, and raw creation yet, showcasing a remarkable maturity in songwriting and performance despite the members' young age.
