SENNA Releases "High Note" as Lead Single From Debut Album "Stranger To Love"
German metalcore band SENNA has released their compelling new track "High Note" as the lead single from their highly anticipated debut album "Stranger To Love". Unveiled on February 4, 2025, the track masterfully blends metal, pop, and progressive elements, offering listeners a preview of their forthcoming album, set to be released on May 23, 2025, via SharpTone Records.
"High Note" showcases SENNA's unique sound, which combines technical instrumentals with energetic vocals and catchy hooks. The song delves deep into the emotional struggle of moving forward while wrestling with the past, as described by vocalist Simon Masdjedi: "In a world that demands constant motion, there's an undeniable tension between the pull of escape and the weight of what's left behind. Our latest track 'High Note' captures that struggle—a raw exploration of navigating life's harsh realities and the fleeting comfort found in temporary highs".
SENNA, formed in Mannheim, Germany, consists of Simon Masdjedi (vocals), Tobias Stulz (guitar/vocals), Marcel Dürr (guitar), Fabian Cattarius (bass), and Leon Dorn (drums). The band's musical journey began in 2019 when Marcel Dürr posted guitar riffs on Instagram, catching the attention of Simon Masdjedi. They initially started as a studio project but quickly evolved into a fully-fledged band.
The upcoming album "Stranger To Love" promises to be an intimate and deeply reflective collection of songs exploring the subtleties of human connection and personal growth. Guitarist Marcel Dürr explains the album's themes: "Stranger To Love is a collection of anecdotes from our own personal lives. These stories are not special in the sense that they are not extraordinary or unique to just us. They're the kinds of experiences that happen quietly, in everyday moments".
SENNA's musical influences include Bring Me The Horizon, Northlane, and Don Broco, which have shaped their distinctive sound. The band's previous releases include their first single "Rosehip" in 2021 and the EP "A Moment Of Quiet" in 2022. They have also released a standalone single titled "Rain" in 2024.
As SENNA continues to carve out their space in the alternative music scene, they are set to join The Devil Wears Prada on their highly anticipated EU/UK tour in February 2025, sharing the stage with SeeYouSpaceCowboy and Kingdom of Giants. This tour will provide fans with the opportunity to experience SENNA's dynamic live performances and hear their new material, including "High Note," live.
