Subway To Sally Collaborates with Warkings for New Anthem "Stahl auf Stahl"

German folk metal pioneers Subway To Sally have joined forces with power metal act Warkings for their powerful new anthem "Stahl auf Stahl," released ahead of their upcoming album "Post Mortem," due December 20, 2024, via Napalm Records.

"Stahl auf Stahl" serves as an anthem of resistance and strength, with its German lyrics "Hämmern wir, so laut wie es nur geht, die Welt soll von uns hören" ("We hammer as loud as we can, so the world will hear us") igniting a message of courage and rebirth. The collaboration features dual vocals that emphasize themes of invincibility and unbreakable unity, with production handled by Ingo Hampf, Felix Heldt, and Simon Michael.

Subway To Sally chose Warkings as co-headliners for the Eisheilige Nacht tour after being impressed by their intense touring activities. The collaboration naturally led to the creation of "Stahl auf Stahl," which the band describes as "a powerful medieval metal banger and an exciting experiment".

"Post Mortem" marks Subway To Sally's 15th studio album and follows their fastest creative process to date. The album contains thirteen tracks, ranging from the opening "Introitus" through powerful anthems like "Phönix" and "Nero," to the closing track "Die Erde bebt". The album represents a significant evolution in the band's sound while maintaining their signature medieval metal style.

The Eisheilige Nacht 2024 tour pairs Subway To Sally with Warkings as co-headliners, supported by The O'Reillys & The Paddyhats and Harpyie. The tour commences on December 13 in Pratteln, Switzerland, and will traverse through major German cities including Stuttgart, Dortmund, and Dresden, before concluding in Potsdam on December 30.
